Timestamp FAQ
- Where does the automatic date come from?
- When a photo contains a capture time (EXIF DateTimeOriginal), the tool reads it and uses it for the stamp. Photos without that field — screenshots, edited or downloaded images — can be stamped with any manually entered date and time.
- Does the stamp change the photo's metadata?
- No. Your photo's original EXIF metadata is preserved in the downloaded JPEG. Only the visible stamp is added to the image.
- Which date formats are supported?
- YYYY-MM-DD, MM/DD/YYYY and DD/MM/YYYY, with times in HH:mm or HH:mm:ss — so the stamp matches whatever convention you need.
